The show centres around Devi Vishwakumar (Ramaksrishnan), an Indian American teenager growing up in well-heeled California suburb. After a traumatic incident has made her a social pariah, Devi comes back to class with a mission – to recast herself and her two besties Eleanor Wong (Ramona Young) and Fabiola Torres (Lee Rodriguez) from geek to chic, and get with the high school hottie Paxton Hall-Yoshida (Darren Bennet).
